Math Rock, Metalcore, and Pop Punk Take Over Miami's Hardcore Underbelly

Miamiemo

Miami's mid-week lineup gets a heavy dose of technical wizardry on June 3rd at the Fillmore Miami Beach. Post-hardcore heavyweights Dance Gavin Dance are bringing their signature blend of dizzying math rock guitar work and soulful clean vocals, sharing the marquee with mathcore legends The Fall of Troy. Expect a masterclass in complex time signatures, manic fretboard tapping, and raw emotional intensity that has defined the post-hardcore landscape for two decades, rounded out by the melodic depth of Wolf & Bear and the heavy djent patterns of Novelists.\n\nIf you prefer your angst with a heavy side of anthemic energy, Yungblud is set to ignite Hard Rock Live on June 2nd. The UK star brings his explosive, genre-bending pop punk and alternative rock theatrics to South Florida, riding the wave of his fiercely energetic live reputation. Joining him are Mexican sister-trio The Warning, whose razor-sharp modern hard rock riffs and thunderous rhythms prove that the new guard of rock-and-roll is alive, well, and absolutely deafening.\n\nTo round out the week's heavier offerings, progressive metalcore outfit Otherworld takes over Club Space on June 5th. Known primarily as a temple of electronic music, Space transforms into a crucible of down-tuned guitars, syncopated rhythms, and atmospheric tension. It is a rare chance to experience underground progressive metal in one of the city's most legendary nightlife hubs, capping off a stellar week for heavy music purists in the Magic City.
